Privacy Policies and Practices
Since January 1, 2001, individuals have been protected by the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act which sets out ground rules for how private sector organizations may collect, use or disclose personal information in the course of commercial activities. Phase three of the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act became effective on January 1, 2004. The Act requires that organizations obtain an individual's consent when it collects that individual's personal information. Personal information does not include the name, title, business address, or telephone number of an employee of an organization, however it does include home information. novaknowledge has assigned Phyllis Collier, Project Manager with responsibility for our organization's compliance with the Privacy Act.
